Our Story
Over recent years, it has become evident that York County is grappling with an identity crisis. A social collapse has not only affected the community but also eroded the values that once bound it together. This is not an isolated issue; similar challenges are being observed across the country. Participation in community organizations has declined, neighborly engagement has waned, church memberships are dwindling, and a sense of rootlessness is pervasive among the youth. Amidst this turmoil, we have lost sight of our collective identity and purpose.
This epidemic has left many feeling adrift, drowning in materialism and yearning for meaning. Despite promises of hope, the ideologies and sensationalized news dominating our discourse only serve to further divide us. We are misled into believing that pursuing self-serving, narrow, hedonistic goals will provide lasting meaning and solace through suffering—a fallacy.
At YOCO Live, we offer an alternative vision—one that instills genuine hope and security for our future. It is a vision that empowers us to endure suffering when it arises by delaying instant gratification and preparing for the future. We strive to establish a proper hierarchical order in our lives, where each individual bears the responsibility to make life bearable and collectively builds a society of which we can be proud. A society that beckons the younger generation back after college or military service—a place they can proudly call home for generations to come.
